Appia, which has been recognized as one of America's fastest-growing private companies for five straight years has been accorded Premium Partner status by 3CX, the developer of phone systems.
This recognition is given to 3CX preferred partners that make regular sales, and only a few partners have been able to achieve this status.
3CX Phone System is an open standard unified communications platform for Windows that works with standard SIP phones, capable of replacing the PBX (News - Alert). It enable users to get the best of an
IP-PBX along with unified communications and conferencing.
"Appia offers three ways to use 3CX's powerful solution," said Victor von Schlegell, president at Appia Communications, in a press release. He added, "Use our managed VoIP Appia cubed offering, which is based on 3CX; locate your 3CX server in our data center, or locate the 3CX server at your site and use our SIP trunks."
According to Schlegell, as the 3CX solution is based on the SIP standard, it allows users to use any SIP phone, either software or hardware. Hence they can choose whatever phone they want for their desktop and also take the service wherever they go by enabling iPhones and Android (News - Alert) devices with the features.
Appia’s SIP trunks can be used with a new PBX or connected to the existing PBX , retaining the system, stations, and consoles, and applications.
Thus 3CX gives enterprise features at a start-up price, is more manageable, increases productivity and delivers substantial cost savings.
Appia Communications is one of fastest-growing solution providers in the technology industry (CRN, 2009-11), and one of the top managed service providers in the world (MSPmentor, 2009-11) and has also been named one of the 2010 Michigan 50 Companies to Watch
In another news story, Appia Communications announced that that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has accepted all the company's principal claims for its network security application.
