UC Solutions from Foehn Enhance Operations for British Office Solutions Company

Prism, an office solutions company in Britain, was opening a new site in Melksham, Wiltshire. The company also had a large number of telecommuting workers. A UC solution was needed to both improve customer service and to allow all workers to function as one unit across multiple sites. Thanks to Foehn, a provider of hosted telephony, Prism found the solution that they needed.
“We now have an intelligent overflow system set-up between the customer service teams at both our main sites which means inbound calls into one site are automatically transferred to the other site after a number of rings,” noted Will Griffin, Prism’s IT manager. “Essentially, we can operate as if we’re all based in one location.”
Prism, which had its original site in Bristol, had been operating on a legacy system. Foehn has provided them with a scalable solution that can grow as the company expands. Foehn has also reduced expenditures while enhancing functionality for the company. For instance, Prism’s sales staff has particularly enjoyed the new voicemail to email solution. Foehn also established secure connections between both Prism’s home workers and their office locations directly to Foehn’s hosted telephony program.
In addition to enhancing voice communication, Foehn provided solutions to speed data connectivity. “We felt that our move to a hosted VoIP solution was a good time to prepare for growth and invest in an enhanced data connection,” Griffin explained. “Foehn provided us with a symmetrical leased line that would deliver reliable, high quality VoIP communications, and allow us a robust download and upload data connection too – particularly important for our business where we regularly need to send and receive large files.”
“There was a lot that we could do to help Prism’s previous infrastructure and we’ve installed a system that should respond to all their needs,” said Foehn CEO and founder James Passingham. “Prism’s old phone system reached the end of its life, and it’s rewarding that we can promise them reliability as well.”
Foehn specializes in IP network and communication solutions for both call centers and small and medium sized businesses. They also have had success with several large-scale implementations across the U.K. and Europe.
